Your new role

Around the world, many religious organizations struggle with tensions between understandings of human development, human rights, and their faith teachings and values. Specifically, you will carry out the following tasks:

  • Maintain relationships with all member organizations, including passive or new members, and coordinate the recruitment of new members and maintenance of a membership database.
  • You will develop, monitor, and implement a network strategy and promote interfaith dialogue through the publication of a network newsletter, case studies, videos, and network events.
  • You will contribute to the quality management of the network by monitoring and documenting all materials, results and impacts of the member organizations.
  • You will assist in organizational development by establishing regional and international working groups and the constant flow of communication between Faith to Action Network and member organizations.
  • You will increase visibility among potential contributors and other stakeholders, enabling new funding and partnership opportunities.

Your profile

  • You have completed a Master’s degree, e.g. in the field of social sciences, religious studies, theology or international relations.
  • You have relevant practical experience in the field of interfaith or intercultural cooperation, peace work, freedom of religion or belief; traditional African religions and have expertise in interfaith cooperation.
  • You have an understanding and experience in managing civil society networks and working with faith-based organizations as well as mentoring local partner organizations.
  • You are experienced in public relations and organizing networking activities (conferences, workshops and other events) especially within civil society networks.
  • As a member of a faith community, you identify with the goals and concerns of development and peace-building work with a strong sense of conviction.
  • You communicate in fluent written and spoken English and ideally have knowledge of French or Arabic and are an EU or Swiss citizen.
