World Provision Centre (WPC) is a Kenyan Non-Governmental non-for profit Organization with over one decade of national programming and a host of successful, sustainable initiatives behind it. It was registered with the Registrar of Societies in 2001 as a “Hope Centre” for the poor and vulnerable where Christian faith meets peoples’ lived experiences. WPC was started as project of the Kenya Southern Baptist Convention (KSBC) implementing health related programs on behalf of the church and letter accredited as an independent NGO registered with the NGO Co-ordination Board in 2012. WPC programming is focused on showing the compassionate face of the Church through the following key areas of work:
HIV Testing and Counselling Intervention Program to contribute to Universal Access to HTC Services.
Sex-workers programme is geared at according them a non-condemning environment where promotion of health, prevention of disease and alternative ways of earning livelihood is the backbone.
Integration of Care and Treatment Services Program to promote access to primary health care for healthy families.
Education and Child Support Program to promote access to quality education and Social support for OVCs
Mentorship and Capacity Strengthening Program for other growing Organizations.
Environmental conservation Interventions in full understanding that the other four programs can only be carried out a healthy environment.
Family Planning advocacy work in supporting the realization of the objective agreed to at the 2012 London Summit on family planning :120 million additional women would be reached by 2020
