The Masithethe Initiative was a call to engage in inter-generational and interfaith partnership to advance adolescents and youth sexual and reproductive health and rights; and how they are dealt with in the Southern Africa region.
Ten institutional partners have been working towards effective youth-led, coordinated responses to support adolescent and young people’s sexual and reproductive health and rights needs within faith communities. These partners include: Apostolic Women Empowerment Trust (AWET), Church Of Central Africa Presbyterian Blantyre Synod (CCAP),Council of Churches of Mozambique (CCM), Council of Swaziland Churches (CSC), Evangelical Lutheran Church of Southern Africa (ELCSA), Fatima Zahra Women’s Organisation (FZWO), Inclusive and Affirming Ministries (IAM),Methodist Church of Southern Africa (MCSA), South Africa network of Religious leaders Living with or Personally Affected by HIV and AIDS+ (SANERELA+) and Synod of Livingstonia Development Department (SOLDEV).
