• Faith to Action Network at ICFP 2025: Faith Leading the Way for Family Health and Well-Being.

Bogota, Colombia – 3rd November 2025

After years of anticipation, the International Conference on Family Planning (ICFP) has finally returned this time to Latin America and the Caribbean for the very first time since 2009. The vibrant city of Bogotá, Colombia, has come alive with the energy and passion of more than 3,500 delegates from across the globe, each committed to advancing sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) for all.

Among those taking the global stage is the Faith to Action Network team, led by CEO Peter Munene, who also serves as Co-Chair of the ICFP Faith Subcommittee. Together with partners including Christian Connections for International Health (CCIH) and the World Faiths Development Dialogue (WFDD), the Network is amplifying the vital role of faith actors in helping families plan pregnancies, optimize maternal and child health, and uphold dignity and hope.

“Faith remains a powerful force for change rooted in compassion, community, and commitment to human flourishing,” said Peter Munene during a plenary reflection. “At ICFP 2025, faith actors are not on the sidelines they are at the heart of the global effort to ensure that every family can thrive.”

The conference opened with a series of inspiring pre-conferences, side events, site visits, and the energizing Youth Summit, setting a powerful tone for the week ahead. From interfaith prayer sessions to cross-sector dialogues, the faith community is demonstrating how values of care, justice, and stewardship can help advance public health and gender equality.

Faith to Action Network continues to champion interfaith collaboration as a cornerstone of sustainable change. Across its programs in Africa, Asia, and beyond, the Network brings together diverse faith traditions to foster peaceful, healthy, and inclusive communities and ICFP 2025 offers the perfect platform to showcase this shared mission.

As discussions unfold under the theme #EquityThroughAction, the message is clear: this is our moment to connect, collaborate, and catalyze progress toward universal access to SRHR and family well-being.

Faith to Action Network celebrates the collective leadership of its members, partners, and faith leaders worldwide for their unwavering dedication to advancing family planning, gender equality, and community health. Together, we’re proving that faith and evidence can walk hand in hand toward a future where every life is valued and every family has the power to choose.
