Faith to Action Network, in collaboration with its Nigerian members and partners, are holding a powerful National Capacity Sharing Training and Co-Design Workshop aimed at amplifying the voices of women of faith and enhancing collective efforts to end gender-based violence (GBV).
Over three impactful days, 40 diverse faith leaders and actors from across Nigeria, spanning both Christian and Muslim communities gathered in Abuja to co-create solutions, strengthen partnerships, and design impactful training materials to be rolled out across the country.
Key Objectives:
- Co-create and co-design 20 national capacity-sharing trainings and workshops.
- Develop 5 tailored training modules focused on elevating the voices of women of faith.
- Promote faith-based action to prevent and respond to GBV.
- Foster deeper regional and member-level collaboration for sustained impact.
Outcomes:
- A structured process was initiated with the F2AN Knowledge Product Lead to develop and refine training modules.
- 10 national workshops have already been mapped out for implementation in 2025.
- Draft module outlines will be circulated to members for review and collaborative input.
- The training reinforced interfaith collaboration and solidified Faith to Action Network’s role in coordinated GBV response within faith communities.
Deliverables:
- 20 inclusive, member-led capacity-sharing workshops planned for the year.
- 5 co-created training modules tailored to local faith contexts.
- A list of priority capacity-building areas identified collaboratively.
- Training content to be adapted with member-driven feedback.
- Confirmed training periods, locations, and participant groups.
This initiative reaffirms Faith to Action Network’s ongoing commitment to gender justice, interfaith dialogue, and community-led development, ensuring women of faith are not only heard but equipped to lead change in their communities.
