• Equity Takes Center Stage at ICFP 2025: Faith to Action Network Champions Voices for Change.

Bogota, Colombia – 5th November 2025

The International Conference on Family Planning (ICFP 2025) is alive with energy, ideas, and inspiration as the global sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) community gathers in Bogota and online. And yesterday’s conversations revolved around one central theme, Equity.

Throughout the day, speakers and delegates reflected on critical questions: Who are we leaving out? How can we ensure every voice is heard in the programs, policies, and decisions that shape our lives?

The Equity Plenary set a powerful tone, calling for equity to guide every conversation and decision. On the ICFP LIVE stage, the Equity Pause, led by the ICFP Power Shifting Subcommittee, invited participants to step back, listen deeply, and recommit to inclusion and justice for all.

Every corner of the conference, from scientific sessions to exhibition halls and live dialogues, buzzed with innovation, showcasing community-led solutions and transformative action.

Faith to Action Network on the Global Stage

Faith to Action Network played a key role in shaping these conversations through thought leadership and program insights.

  • Scholar Kaaria, Strategy, Gender, and SRHR Advisor, took the stage during the Hot Topic Session: Breaking the Silence – Ending Femicide, joining global leaders in addressing one of the most urgent issues affecting women and girls worldwide.
  • Sheenah Mbau, Programmes Manager for Family Health and Well-Being, presented the Interfaith Adolescent Girls Hub Project, highlighting how faith spaces can drive positive change for adolescent girls. She also shared two poster presentations:
    • Beyond Assumptions: Learning on the Effectiveness of Interfaith Action in Shifting Gender and Social Norms Affecting Adolescent Girls and Young Women’s Access to SRHR.
    • Sound, Screen, and Social Feeds: Harnessing Multimedia Co-Creation to Shift Harmful Norms and Advance SRHR Among Youths.
  • Ayoko Bahun, West Africa Programmes Manager, showcased Faith innovative thinking in her presentation, Faith, Facts, and AI, exploring how digital technology intersects with faith to promote informed, inclusive, and ethical SRHR advocacy.

As the conference moves forward, ICFP 2025 continues to spotlight partnerships, investments, and equity, urging every participant to imagine what a new era of family planning and SRHR could look like when guided by collaboration, compassion, and justice.

Faith to Action Network remains committed to amplifying faith voices in these spaces, ensuring that no one is left behind in the global pursuit of health, dignity, and equality.
