July 27–29, 2025, in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
Faith to Action Network member, the Baha’i International Community Addis Ababa Office, proudly represented our network at the United Nations Food Systems Summit #UNFSS2025 held for the first time on African soil in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia from July 27 – 29, 2025.
The historic gathering brought together over 3,000 participants from 151 UN Member States, including 10 Heads of State, 76 Ministers, farmers, indigenous peoples, youth, and civil society organizations.
Discussions focused on transforming global food systems and promoting community-led resilience models. Three principles agency, justice, and dignity emerged as guiding pillars in shaping sustainable food systems, with women and youth placed at the center of solutions for equitable and resilient food futures.
This milestone moment offers an important opportunity to deepen dialogue, particularly on the ethical dimensions of food system transformation, and to strengthen collaborations with inspiring change-makers from across the globe who are advancing agricultural innovation and sustainability.
