Bujumbura, Burundi | 28 July – 1 August 2025.
Faith to Action Network is proud to stand alongside key regional actors in Bujumbura, participating in a high-level Steering Committee meeting aimed at revitalizing progress on the East African Community (EAC) Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) Bill.
Convening from 28th July to 1st August 2025, the meeting brings together EALA Members of Parliament, civil society leaders, and regional advocates united by a common goal: to reignite momentum around inclusive SRH legislation that responds to the realities and rights of East Africans.
At the heart of these deliberations is a clear understanding, political engagement is essential. The time to act is now.
Faith Leading the Way
As Faith to Action Network, we are amplifying a message that cannot be ignored: faith actors must be central in the movement for reproductive justice. Across East Africa, faith leaders hold deep trust and influence in communities and with political leaders. Their voices can help bridge divides, correct misinformation, and build broad-based support for policies that uphold health, dignity, and justice for all.
“Reviving the EAC SRH Bill is not just a legislative priority, it is a moral imperative. It’s about protecting lives, promoting equity, and ensuring young people and marginalized groups have access to the care they deserve.”
A Call to Action
We are hopeful. We are energized. And we are committed to pushing forward, together.
Let’s keep the momentum going. Let’s ensure every voice is heard. The time to act is now.
