Following the Conference on Gender Justice from a Religious Perspective, held on June 13, 2019, The Evangelical Lutheran Church in Jordan & the Holy Land (ELCJHL) has been working diligently, in cooperation with other organizations specialized in gender justice, to follow up on the recommendations to achieve gender equality from Christian and Muslim perspectives.
Therefore, on behalf of His Grace Bishop Sani Ibrahim Azar, we are honored to invite you to attend the Gender Justice from a National and Religious Perspective conference, which will be held on Thursday, 2 December 2021 from 9 AM- 3 PM at the Carmel Hotel in Ramallah.
The conference seeks to promote debates on gender justice and equality by developing strategies on ways to promote women’s rights. It also strives towards achieving Sustainable Development Goal 5 to realize gender equity and empowerment. This conference comes as part of the 16 days of activism campaign through which the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Jordan and the Holy Land affirms its commitment to combat Gender-Based Violence.
