• Western Uganda FBO Network consultative meeting with the district to develop Kyenjojo Family Planning District Costed Implementation Plan

Ngombe Health project and Inter-religious and cultural dialogue who are members Faith to Action Network have reached out to cultural leaders in Fort portal, Rakai and Wakiso districts to form working groups in support of family planning.

This unique approach by the two organisations has drawn interest form various development partners especially by UNAIDS Country Representative in Uganda who commended publically during noting that” …this is a unique and fast tracking approach to address SRHR and barriers and would want it embraced by other stakeholders”

With increased capacity, thanks to numerous and continuous capacity building interventions by the Faith to Action Network secretariat, religious leaders are now sexual and reproductive health champions were they are being recognized and consulted by key development partners and stakeholders who are increasingly acknowledging their role in contributing to sexual reproductive health goals. As an immediate effect, Sister Gorette Kisakye, Executive Director -INTERDIP and a representative from Inter-religious Council of Uganda were invited in the UNAIDS high level consultative meeting in Uganda to identify strategies for fast tracking ending HIV/AIDS by 2030.
